On the 20th of April, Sempai Elijah White was successful in passing his 1st Degree Black Belt grading. He tested on all kata, as well as his new and personal kata, which was all conducted to such an extraordinary standard. Sensei Shane and Sempai Elijah will be closing down the Saunders beach club, due to lack of numbers and the extremely busy lifestyle both have at this time.

Elijah started with the club when it first opened up in Townsville and has committed to his training and the club ever since. He has trained in his own time and went over and above to achieve his black belt within 4 years, now his 1st degree. I am so proud of both sensei and sempai for the efforts they have achieved and the training and knowledge they have shared with many students over the last 4.5 years.

Elijah was presented with both his certificate and his first sword that sensei Shane Chambers purchased for him.
